Punta della Dogana: Tadao Ando
During this carefully planned architectural tour, Tadao Ando’s restoration of Punta della Dogana is analyzed by contrasting the ancient history of the building with its current appearance, invoking early and recent episodes in the history of a building that symbolizes the city of Venice. From Maritime Customs House to modern exhibition venue, this key structure in the commercial life of the Maritime Republic of Venice still retains its evocative atmosphere.
