Work placement course
Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana are taking part for the second time in MUSA, a work placement project run by the Regional Scholastic Office of the Veneto, by offering a programme of apprenticeships for students in third year of high school.
The project foresees students being inserted into the staff that overseens Palazzo Grassi’s Teens programme.
After initial training (on the museum’s mission, structure, activities etc), students will be given the following tasks:
-creating new content for the teens.palazzograssi.it website
-organising and managing communication for the Teens programme
-programming, preparing, communicating and managing an event (music, cinema or dance) aimed at their peers.
The work placement programme is as an opportunity for exchange between the museum and students.
The students get to know a cultural institution from within and discover its workings and dynamics at first hand. They learn to follow a specific project in all its aspects, from idea to conclusion, taking care of the programming, development and follow up, and overseeing all aspects, alongside the museum staff. The museum, dedicated to building a new ‘teenage’ audience, has the opportunity to avail itself of an extremely important team of collaborators. Involved in the programme aimed at teenagers and based on a peer-to-peer approach, the students will contribute their unique point of view in order to meet the objective: engaging their peers in the museum’s activities and in contemporary art in general.

Teen Print Party
On Friday 27 January, the students of the work placement project organised Teen Print Party, an event for teenagers aged 14 to 19. The participants had the chance to print live on any material while listening to hip-hop music and witnessing freestyle performances.
Teen Print Party was organised in collaboration with Small Caps, a Venetian cultural organisation specialised in serigraph printing.
Teens night '16
The second edition of Teens Night, an evening of concerts with young musicians, was organised by the teens who participated to the work placement project at Palazzo Grassi-Punta della Dogana.
