At the end of the World War II, rejuvenated by a new love affair, Picasso comes back to the French Riviera. After depicting the dark tragedy of Guernica, his palette explodes in a firework of colours, happiness and hope.

Through more than 200 loans from major public institutions and private collections, Picasso, la joie de vivre, 1945-1948 covered a period of intensive creation and artistic experimentation: paintings, drawings, ceramics...

Palazzo Grassi's exhibition also put on view a wide selection af photo, which allowed to visitor to enter the intimacy of the artist and penetrate the mistery of his work.
