Palazzo Grassi Café

On the first floor of Palazzo Grassi, with a breathtaking view on the Grand Canal and Campo San Samuele, the Palazzo Grassi Café is managed by Irina Freguia, from the Ventian restaurant Vecio Fritolin and offers a large choice of ventian and Italian food.

For the exhibition Mapping the Studio the decor has been changed slightly: across walls and fixtures is set an original art work of the artist Rob Pruitt, 101 Art Ideas You Can Do Yourself, 1999.
As always based on seasonal produce, the menu too is inspired by the basic theme of the exhbition, with a selection of regional dishes and a wide choice of desserts, all strictly home-made.

Palazzo Grassi Café is also the perfect place for a snack or a light lunch, serving toasted sandwiches, panini and cocktail pizzas. In the afternoon, for those with a sweet tooth, there are home-made
cakes, served with a steaming hot chocolate or with an Illy caffé.

Palazzo Grassi Café is open from 12 am to 4 pm without having to pay the entrance ticket (in the respect of the flow of visitors wishing to visit the exhibition).
