Archives - Presentation and screenings of documentaries by Jef Cornelis

The Teatrino hosts a new cycle of screenings Archives, with a selection of films by Belgian legendary filmmaker Jef Cornelis dedicated to some of the most significant contemporary art exhibitions since the 1960s. At the crossroad between documentary and fiction, these films are unique audiovisual witnesses of the history of exhibitions and an important tool for curatorial research.
On Wednesday 8 February at 6pm, art historian and curator Yves Aupetitallot will present the films. The screening of Ouverture. Castello di Rivoli (1985, 30’) directed by Jef Cornelis will then follow.
On Thursday 9 and Friday 10 February, a selection of documentaries will be screened from 11am to 7pm.
