Screening of the film F for Fake (France/Iran/Germany, 1973) by Orson Welles

On the occasion of the exhibition Treasures from the Wreck of the Unbelievable by Damien Hirst at Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana, the Teatrino presents a cycle of talks and screenings dedicated to the relationship between reality and fiction.

Professional art forgers and art critic deceive each other, the fall from fame and the notion of authorship, art as a lie that tells the truth. Orson Welles’ last film is a kaleidoscope of heterogeneous materials (photos, archive images, documentary footage) and, at the same time, a melancholic and sneering goodbye.

Film screened in the original language with Italian subtitles.

Free entry until capacity is reached.
