Last day of 'Dancing with Myself'
On the occasion of the last day of the exhibition ‘Dancing with Myself’, the entrance to Punta della Dogana is free for residents in the city of Venice. On the same day, the museum presents two events dedicated to the exhibition.
At the Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi, the documentary produced by 3D Produzioni for the Exhibition series on Sky Arte HD and dedicated to ‘Dancing with Myself’ is screened (27'). The documentary explores the exhibition rooms of Punta della Dogana and leads to the viewer to discover the main themes of the works of art on view - first and foremost the question of identity and self-representation.
Screening from 10 am, every 30 minutes. Last screening starts at 18.30. Free entry to the screening until capacity is reached.
At Punta della Dogana at 3.30 pm and 5.30 pm, musician Federica Lotti performs a music piece composed by Claudio Ambrosini in honour of the artist Alighiero Boetti, present in the exhibition "Dancing with Myself" with his work Autoritratto.
In his work, the composer Claudio Ambrosini – winner of the Golden Lion for Music by the Venice Biennale in 2007 –analyses the relationship between music and contemporary art. The piece for solo flute Classifying the Thousand Shortest Sounds in the World, inspired by one of Alighiero Boetti’s work, represents the peak of his studies and research for the flute. The composition requires from the musician a great capacity to adapt. It is performed by Federica Lotti at 3.30 pm and 5.30 pm at Punta della Dogana.
Access is granted upon presentation of the admission ticket to the museum.
