The cycle Stories of Art continues, one spring evening, with a special presentation by Francesco and Gianrico Carofiglio, authors of works that are hugely popular in Italy. Through a combination of reading, performance and discussion, the two authors will involve the public in an adventure of interwoven words and images, a heady spiral of narratives that forms an introduction to a Museum of Paper embracing a whole multitude of stories.
Francesco Carofiglio was born in Bari in 1964. Architect, film director and illustrator, he worked for many years as an actor and playwright. He writes screenplays for film and television. BesidesRitorno nella valle degli angeli (Marsilio 2009) andL'estate del cane nero (Marsilio 2008), he published for Rizzoli in 2005 the novel With or Without You and in 2007 the graphic novelsCacciatori nelle tenebre with his brother Gianrico . In 2010 he will published for Marsilio Il Maestro, a play that will be on scene next season.
Gianrico Carofiglio (Bari, 1961) is a magistrate, a writer and an Italian Senator. With Sellerio he published the crime fictions of the Advocate Guerrieri (Testimone inconsapevole, 2002; Ad occhi chiusi, 2003; Ragionevoli dubbi, 2006),L’arte del dubbio (2007) and Le perfezioni provvisorie (2010). He won numerous awards including the Premio Bancarella with Il passato è una terra straniera (Rizzoli). He has also writtenNé qui né altrove. Una notte a Bari (2008), Il paradosso del poliziotto (2009) and, with his brother Francesco, the graphic novel Cacciatori nelle tenebre. In May 2010 will be published by Rizzoli his latest book, Non esiste saggezza.
