Move on up!
Dance, performance, music. Everybody
The cycle of workshops and talks is conceived in relation to the exhibition ‘Dancing with Myself’ and enables to better understand the work of dancers and choreographers through workshops, live performance and screenings. ‘Muoviti Muoviti! Danza, performance, musica. Everybody’ was conceived by Susanne Franco, scholar of Dance and Theatre studies at Ca’ Foscari University, in Venice.
The workshop 'Trisha Brown: dance, archive, transmission' is led by Abigail Yager, dancer, coreographer, teacher and assistant dean of Contemporary Dance School of Dance of the University of North Carolina, and is inspired by the coreography of Trisha Brown Solo Olos (1976). The workshop will be accompanied by screenings of selected works of Trisha Brown and talks with Susanne Franco and Ariadne Mikou, artist and researcher.
