Teatrino di Palazzo Grassi
Una specie di tenerezza. Marlene Dumas fra parole e immagini #2
In relation to the themes and suggestions of her exhibition at Palazzo Grassi, the artist Marlene Dumas has conceived a series of screenings for the Venetian public scheduled at the Teatrino every Thursday in November.
Marlene Dumas has selected a series of films that, over the years, have moved, marked or amused her and that in some way influenced the creation of her works. She invites the audience to watch these films without looking for messages or moral meanings and to discover how they explore themes dear to the artist, such as eroticism, innocence, humour, tragedy…
Schedule of screenings on Thursday 10 November:
- Un Chant d'Amour (1950, 26') by Jean Genet - Some images may offend the public's sensitivity.
- Extase (1933, 87') by Gustav Machatý
Access to the event
Admission is free until capacity is reached.
Doors open 20 minutes before the beginning of the event. Members can access the Teatrino 30 minutes before the start of the event.
