Art Conversation dedicated to the exhibitions 'Henri Cartier-Bresson. Le Grand Jeu' and 'Youssef Nabil. Once Upon a Dream'
After the Art Conversation dedicated to the exhibition "Untitled, 2020. Three perspectives on the art of the present", scheduled on Friday 4 September, the Teatrino presents the double event dedicated to the exhibitions at Palazzo Grassi, open until 20 March 2021.
The event starts at 6.30 pm with a talk dedicated to the great photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson, followed by a conversation centred around the dreamy and gently nostalgic imagery of artist Youssef Nabil.
Matthieu Humery, general curator of the exhibition “Henri Cartier-Bresson. Le Grand Jeu” meets two of the five curators of the show: director Wim Wenders - in live connection - and Sylvie Aubenas, curator and director of the Department of Prints and Photography at the Bilbliothèque nationale de France. Together with photographer Annie Leibovitz, author Javier Cercas and collector François Pinault, they have shaped their own vision on the photographer's work, in an exhibition collecting the most iconic and most significant pictures by Henri Cartier-Bresson.
The second part of the talk is dedicated to Egyptian artist Youssef Nabil, who will meet the public of the Teatrino, in a conversation with Matthieu Humery, one of the two curators of the exhibition 'Youssef Nabil. Once Upon a Dream', and Sylvie Aubenas.
Talks in French with simultaneous interpretation in Italian.
Access to the Teatrino is free until capacity is reached. In line with the rules to prevent the spread of Covid, the capacity of the Teatrino has been reduced to guarantee a safe experience. Check all the access rules here.
