Giorgio Li Calzi - Manuel Zigante: SOLARIS

Two seemingly distant musical paths converge in an abstract and material common territory, ancient and futuristic, real and imaginary, just like Tarkowsky's film SOLARIS, which a source of inspiration for both musicians. The meeting between Manuel Zigante's cello and the electroacustic sounds of Giorgio Li Calzi's trumpet is a project born in 1986. It is the first presentation of this performance, which unfolds in digital improvisations and contemporary rewriting of classicism, from J.S. Bach to Eduard Artemyev.
