Museum interpreters

Palazzo Grassi - Punta della Dogana has developed a programme of museum interpretation to accompany visitors in the discovery of the exhibitions.

Museum interpreters

Every year, in order to implement the public's experience at the museum, Palazzo Grassi - Punta della Dogana builds up a team of museum interpreters selected through an open call. They comment specific aspects of the ongoing exhibitions and interact with the visitors.

The museum interpreters are present at Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana from Saturday to Monday, from 11 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to 5 pm.

"Altri Sguardi" is the projet conceived by Palazzo Grassi - Punta della Dogana open to asylum seekers and refugees living in the City of Venice, with the aim to offer a unique point of view on the exhibitions presented at Palazzo Grassi and Punta della Dogana.

After participating in an open call launched by Palazzo Grassi - Punta della Dogana, the participants follow a training with the museum staff during which they are invited to develop specific skills of mediation and interpretation, focusing on aspects of the current exhibitions. The public then has the opportunity to visit the exhibitions together with the participants of "Altri Sguardi" and to discover through their eyes the works on view.
